DC visits fire incident site at Batote, assesses loss to property

RAMBAN, DECEMBER 31: Deputy Commissioner, Ramban, Mussarat Islam today visited the fire incident site in Batote to assess the loss and damage caused to the residence of Imam Khalil-ur-Rehman, Jamia Masjid in an overnight blaze. It was informed the first floor of the house was completely gutted in the blaze.

Among others, the DC was accompanied by Tehsildar Batote Vijay Kumar Sharma, and several other senior officers of district administration.

The DC inspected the damaged structure and enquired about the well-being of Rehman’s family.

After handing over the instant financial assistance to the victim, the DC said that the Administration would extend all possible help to him.

Expressing his sympathies to Rehman, the DC appealed to all the people of Ramban district not to use Nichrome coil heaters and use electrical gadgets judiciously. He also exhorted people to get their houses insured to save the loss to their properties in such incidents.
