DDC Shopian reviews progress of NABARD funded projects

SHOPIAN, JUNE 16: The District Development Commissioner (DDC) Shopian, Sachin Kumar Vaishya today convened a meeting here to review the progress of the ongoing Rural Infrastructural Development Fund (RIDF) projects being executed by different departments in the district.At the outset, it was informed that various RIDF projects funded by NABARD are under implementation in the District by different departments including Health, Jal Shakti, Animal Husbandry and Sheep Husbandry Department besides critical rural infrastructure like roads, bridges, water supply schemes, PHCs, Veterinary Hospitals and Sheep Extension Centres.While reviewing the progress on these projects, the concerned departments gave a detailed account of the physical as well as financial progress achieved so far.The DDC reviewed scheme wise progress of the projects and asked the concerned officers to personally monitor the progress of work and set monthly targets to achieve the desired results.He directed the concerned executing agencies to accelerate the pace of the execution and ensure that the works on the projects are completed within the set deadlines so that necessary benefits can be provided to the common masses for whom these projects have been sanctioned.Among others, the meeting was attended by the Chief Planning Officer, and all line departments.
