Degree College Poonch organizes ‘Meri Maati Mera Desh Competition’ in context with ‘Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav’

Poonch// NSS Unit of Shri Krishan Chander Govt. Degree College Poonch organizes series of activities in context with ‘Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav’under the supervision of Dr. Jasbir Singh Principal of the college. As the entire nation is celebrating the National festival with great enthusiasm and curiosity and series of activities are being organized across the country and Degree College Poonch is never leading behind.
SKC Govt. Degree College Poonch organises “Meri Mati Mera Desh Competition” in which a large number of NSS Volunteers participated and made various items of Mud (Mitti). The program was organized by Dr. Zakir Hussain Kalis and Dr. Loveleen Kour the NSS Programme Officers. The teachers and students gathered in the auditorium in order to celebrate “Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav.” The program started at 10:30 AM with National Anthem. Dr. Zakir Kalis presided over the function and presented a valuable speech on “Mati Ko Naman Veeron Ko Vandan.”
65 NSS Volunteers of all the NSS Groups participated in the model making competition (MATI KO NAMAN). Red and Blue House got 1st position, White and Yellow House got 2nd position whereas the Green House got 3rd position respectively. Dr. Riaz Mirza HOD Computer Science and Prof. Tehseen Abbas were the jury members. Dr. Jasbir Singh the Principal of the college appreciated the efforts of the NSS Pos and Volunteers and stressed upon them to work and participate wholeheartedly in all the events of Independence Day celebrations. Dr. Mohammad Latif Mir Vice Principal and Coordinator IQAC along with Prof. Mohd Araf, Dr. Tabassam Naz, Dr. Yougesh Kumar, Prof. Mohd Jahangir were also present on the occasion.
