Srinagar, Oct 09: Students of 11th class from different schools of the valley on Friday staged a protest in Press Enclave Srinagar and demanded mass promotion to the next class.
Scores of students assembled and staged a protest demonstration chanting slogans like ‘we want justice’ and ‘we want Jammu type mass promotions’.
One of the students while talking to news agency KDC said that they don’t have enough time for preparing for examinations and JKBOSE is yet to take any decision regarding holding of exams or not holding.
“If Jammu division students were given mass promotion why not for us too,” he said.
“We are not mentally prepared for the examinations as our concepts are not clear due to the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic and low speed internet which too was snapped several times” added a female student protestor.
Another Student said that JKBOSE should come up with the decision regarding 11th Class, which we expect will be in the favor of students so that justice is delivered to them.
Pertinently, on 30 September JKBOSE had announced a mass promotion for Class 11th students of Jammu division and in view of the Board’s decisions, Kashmir-based students seem to have got encouraged to put forth the demand for mass promotion for them as well. (KDC)
