Sopore, 17 August 2023:
Sopore Police observed a Diyas Lighting Ceremony under the banner “Meri Maati Mera Desh” MITTI KO NAMAN VEROON KO VANDAN Program with an aim to pay homage, remembrance and respect to Martyrs of Police. This initiative has proven significant enthusiasm and means to develop patriotic temper and feelings among jawans. During the event Diyas were lit at Police martyrs memorial wall, at which names of all the martyrs of district are inscribed.
At DPO Sopore, Ceremony was headed by SDPO Sopore Shri. Dr. Raies Ahmad-JKPS
At District Police Lines Sopore, Ceremony was headed by DYSP DAR Sopore Shri. Dr. Hilal Ahmad Hilal-JKPS.
Similarly, Ceremony was held at all Police Stations, Police Posts and Police Components, where concerned heads led the Ceremony.
