Bandipora, June 3: Teachers Forum and Employees Joint Action Committee district President Syed Sajad and Chief Spokesperson Bandipora Mir Bashir Ahmad on Thursday met District Development Commissioner Dr. Ovais in his office chamber at mini secretariat Bandipora.EJAC leaders raised some key issues and grievances of the employees.DC administered assured all possible help in resolving the issues that are being faced by employees.DC Bandipora was appraised about the dedication and commitment that teachers, Medical staff, police personnel, and other employees have shown during the ongoing covid19 crisis. Dr. Ovais sir appreciated all and said that he and his team always support the working class at all levels and will never compromise on the dignity and honor of employees working under his control & command. He said that teachers have a larger role in every community and amid the closure of schools, the contribution of teaches is highly appreciable. He however said that the zoom platform alone can’t be the alternative to classroom teaching. Therefore, impressed upon the teachers to hold community classes so that every single student is covered. Both the Leaders assured worthy DDC that community classes would be made operational in all parts of the district and said, ” they are lucky to have a versatile, honest, dedicated and employee-friendly officer, and its an honor to work under the command and control of his authority”.Meanwhile, some key points discussed with respected Chief Education Officer Bandipora included Disposal of litigation cases and release of salaries in respect of officials whose salaries have been kept withheld for different reasons, settlement of time-bound cases on speed base manner, GP Fund cases are settled in CEO Office Bandipora in just 2 to 3 days but in some cases, it is seen that the same gets stuck in Zonal offices. Therefore, Leaders requested the Respected CEO to fix a timeline for settlement of GP Fund case for zonal, high and higher secondary levels also so that teachers get their requirement done in the very shortest possible time.
