GDC Billawar celebrated Celebration of National Librarian Day

GDC Billawar celebrated National Librarians Day to commemorate the services rendered by Dr. S.R.Ranganathan in the field of Library Sciences under Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav Campaign under the able administration and patronage of Dr. Alka Sharma, Principal GDC Billawar. The program started with the lamp lighting ceremony followed by a detailed report by College Librarian Mr.Vidya Lal who excellently presented the chronological description of Dr. Ranganthan’s contributions in the field. The programme was followed by the documentary presentation depicting the Historical background of Library Profession and its relevance with the modern day technologies to cope with the management of Information for effective usage and quick retrieval.
