Government Post Graduate College Rajouri’s Ecoclub in collaboration with the NSS units of the college, organized a commendable cleanliness drive within the college campus. The primary objective of this initiative was to cultivate awareness among students regarding the crucial significance of maintaining a clean environment, as well as to instill motivation for active participation and contribution to environmental safety.
Over fifty enthusiastic NSS volunteers and students of Environmental Sciences took part in the event, wholeheartedly dedicating their efforts to thoroughly cleaning the entire campus during the campaign. Principal of the college Dr. Shamim Ahmed Azad lauded the initiative for its impactful approach towards fostering a culture of cleanliness.
Dr. Naseem Ahmed Malik, the dedicated NSS Officer, emphasized the pivotal role of maintaining clean surroundings and encouraged students to actively engage in similar initiatives. Dr. M. Junaid Jazib, HoD, Environmental Sciences and Coordinator of the Ecoclub, coordinated the campaign besides providing students with valuable insights into their crucial role in safeguarding the natural environment.
Other esteemed faculty members who actively participated in the drive, include Prof. Showkat Ahmad – HoD Education , Dr. Junaid Ahmed – EVS department and Dr. Shakeel Kataria from the Urdu department.
