KATHUA, JUNE 05: Government Polytechnic College Kathua today organized an online Painting Competition on the theme ‘Ecosystem Restoration’ to mark World Environment Day. The event was held under the supervision of Principal Er Arun Bangotra. Due to Covid19 lockdown, the students while staying at their respective homes were motivated by the Principal and staff to plant saplings in and around their own surroundings in order to propagate the message of environmental consciousness. In an online Painting competition 31 students of the 2nd, 4th, and 6th semesters participated. The first position was shared by Gagan Gupta and Mohd. Razzaq, while the second position went to Gulshan Kumar and Rohit Kumar, while the third position was shared by Shamsher Kumar and Lalit Kumar. Consolation prizes went to Sourav Sharma, Raj Rishi, Sikander Lal, and Kartik Khajuria. The judges for the competition were Er. Rishabh Gupta, Er. Vishal Sharma and Munish Kumar, faculty of the college.
