Srinagar 07 january 2023:-On Tuesday, Anganwadi workers and volunteers from various districts of Kashmir gathered at Press Enclave in Jammu and demanded that the policy be reversed. They claimed that the policy would result in them losing their jobs with no reparation.

“Under this new HR policy, all employees over the age of 60 will be retired. Previously, we could continue without regard to age. The absurdity is that we are being forced out, but authorities are refusing to provide us with retirement benefits. This is an injustice to us; don’t take our livelihood,” said a protestor speaking to Nida-e-Kashmir.

The workers stated that they would continue to protest until their concerns were addressed.
