In jammu and kashmir, the Indian Army continues to be a major and positive catalyst in encouraging and supporting a wide range of welfare initiatives and activities for the awam of Kashmir.

The success of Son-et-Lumiere Season 1 (2021) has inspired the local populace for a sequel and accordingly Son-et-Lumiere Season 2 has been organized and coordinated by Indian Army in collaboration with the local administration of Pattan–Palhallan.

This year’s Festival is aligned with India spearheading G20 Presidency espousing the motto “Vasudeva Kutumbakam”. Music as an art has always been a unifying factor since time immemorial and the fest will provide an appropriate platform to showcase the multitude of local talents.

The musical extravaganza at Pattan Degree College in Baramulla district of North Kashmir under the aegis of CIF (K) and Chinar Corps of Indian Army witnessed performances by renowned and budding artists from Kashmir.

The event showcased local talents followed by exhilarating performances by Waqar Khan, Shafi Sopori, Saima, Aabid Aly, Police band, Rouf Dance Group along with other scintillating performances.

Apart from the local populace, the event was graced by the presence of senior officers of Indian Army along with senior officers of Police, CAPF and senior dignitaries from the civil administration.

The event had an audience of more than 1000 individuals, The Indian Army is happy to organise such an event for the Awam of Kashmir and provide a platform for the talented local artists to inspire many more in the days to come.
