Leh, June 5: A truck met with an accident in the mountainous pass of Leh resulting in the death of the driver and injuries to the Conductor.
Both the driver and the conductor (cousins) hail from the Haknar Gund area of Central Kashmir’s Kangan town.
The accident occurred at Fotu-La Pass when the driver Muhammad Aslam Famda lost control over the truck and it fell deep into 200 feet deep gorge.
The truck (JK01P/8724) suffered damages while the driver died on spot. The 25-year-old Conductor Muneer Ahmed Famda sustained grievous injuries and is being treated at a hospital.
