BUDGAM June 12: Continuing its efforts to curb the menace of drugs from the society, Budgam police arrested one notorious drug peddler and recovered contraband substance from his possession.

During naka checking at “NAMBALHAR” Police party of Police Station Khansahib intercepted one person roaming in suspicious circumstances. During his personal search 800 Grams of Cannabis Powder like substance and Banned Drug SPASCORE-VON PLUS 120 Tablets were recovered from his possession.
The arrested Person has been identified as Showkat Ahmed Bandroo son of Abdul Ahad Bandroo resident of Banderpora presently at Housing Coloney Ompora.

Case FIR number 119/2021 under relevant sections of NDPS Act stands registered at Police Station Khansahib and investigation set into the motion.
