Police deny any thrashing in Pattan, Incident needlessly created using media and medical record for personal benefit

Srinagar, April 13:(GNS) Police on Tuesday denied allegations of beating any person in North Kashmir’s Baramulla district.

In a statement to GNS, the police said that yesterday police party took around to secure night curfew after receiving complaints that some hotel/ restaurant owners are violating Govt orders and are running businesses well past the declared time. For the last 4 days, continuous announcements were made for the observance of Night Curfew and some restaurant owners were specifically advised to adhere to the same.

Yesterday again police party talked to the owner who instead of complying, started quarreling.
No one was beaten/ thrashed by police and the incident has been needlessly created using media and medical records for personal benefit.

The spokesperson added that, Reports of abuse and unparliamentary language have been received and same are being enquired into shall be dealt with as per departmental rules.(GNS)
