Anantnag, Apr 25: Police arrested a man with fake Indian currency notes amounting to over Rs 11 thousand from Khanabal area of South Kashmir’s Anantnag district.
The accused has been identified as Vikar Dar of Batengoo village of Anantnag
Sources told news agency Kashmir News Trust that the arrest and recovery of fake currency in the denomination of Rs 200 were made by a police party from police post Khanabal.
The accused was arrested at a checkpoint. Police have registered an FIR vide number 120/ 2021 under section 489-A,B,C at police post Khanabel.
Police sources said that the man is being questioned and more arrests are expected in coming days. (KNT)
