Srinagar, Oct 24, KNT: Directorate of School Education Kashmir has ordered the closure of a private coaching center here in Kashmir capital Srinagar for violating the guidelines set for Coaching Institutes by DSEK.
Well placed sources told news agency Kashmir News Trust (KNT) that a couple of days back, Chief Education Officer, Srinagar had submitted a detailed inspection report after visiting the illegally run coaching center namely ‘Right Way Career Institute,’ Raj Bagh area of Srinagar.
In its inspection report, Chief Education Officer Srinagar submitted that as per the records available the coaching center is not yet registered with the School Education Department while the building in which the coaching center is operating is a functional Hotel viz Hotel Remano, Raj Bugh.
He had further submitted that at the time of inspection the class work was on, four female students were present in the classroom, being taught Chemistry by one G.S Yadav.
Moreover, the proprietor of coaching centre has also been directed by the Chief Education Officer Srinagar to close down the class work ahead with in view of SOP orders issued by the Government in wake of Covid-19 pandemic.”
Joint Director Schools have dispatched a communiqué to the Additional Deputy Commissioner Srinagar in this regard.
Confirming the closure of the coaching centre, an official told KNT that ‘Right Way Career Institute,’ Raj Bagh area of Srinagar has already been closed for not only violating Covid SOPs but also functioning from a private hotel. “Today is official holiday, it will be formally sealed on the working day,” the official added.
