Awantipora, Sep 28: Police in South Kashmir’s Awantipora on Monday claimed to have arrested a local militant of the Lashkar-e-Toiba militant outfit. In a statement issued to Kashmir Despatch reads, Awantipora Police along with 50 RR & 185 CRPF have arrested 01 recently joined militant namely Faisal Ahmad Dar resident of Khankah Bagh Pampore affiliated with proscribed outfit Laishker-e-Toiba in Pampore areas near Konibal crossing. The said Militant went missing from 11th September to join the ranks of Laishker-e-Toiba and was active in Anantnag, Awantipora, and Pampore area. Pertinent to mention that the said arrested Militant has uploaded his audio on social media on 13th September wherein the said Militant has claimed to have joined Militants ranks and requesting his parents not to look for/search for him as he has joined ranks. Incriminating material of proscribed outfit Laishker-e-Toiba has been recovered from the said Militant. A Case FIR number 79/2020 under the relevant section of Law stands registered at Police Station Pampore the statement reads.
