Review the arrangements in connection with commencement of annual Urs of Hazrat Sheikh Abdul Qadir Jeelani (RA)

Gvn….The Hon’ble Deputy Mayor (Acting Mayor), Srinagar Mr. Parvaiz Ahmad Qadri, accompanied with Joint Commissioner (Adm) SMC, Deputy Director Fire and Emergency Service, Srinagar Medical Superintendent Govt, Gousia Hospital, Khanyar, Health Officer, SMC, Municipal Veterinary Officer SMC, Executive engineer (RRWD) SMC, Executive Engineer Electric Division-IV Khanyar, Executive Engineer, Jal Shakti Department, Executive Engineer (CDC) SMC, Chief Transport Officer SMC, Chief Sanitation Officer SMC, Chief Anti-Encroachment Officer SMC, Station House Officer, Police Station Khanyar, Compost Officer SMC, Store Officer/Purchase and Procurement Officer SMC, Sanitation Officer (Central/East) SMC, and Concerned field/ward staff, convened a meeting at the residence of Mr. Khalid Masood Gelani, Sajad-e-Nasheen Dastageer Sahib shrine Khanyar Srinagar to review the arrangements in connection with commencement of annual Urs of Hazrat Sheikh Abdul Qadir Jeelani (RA) (Dastageer Sahib) on 11th Rabi-Us-Saani 1442 Hijri. The Hon’ble Acting Mayor directed the concerned Officers/field staff to ensure proper arrangements pertaining their field of work and also directed SMC Officers/Officials to ensure all necessary arrangements are put in place especially in and around the shrine premises during Urs days.
The Hon’ble Acting Mayor also directed to the concerned Electric wing of the Corporation to ensure repairs of defunct street lights and also install new LED lights as per requirement.
The Hon’ble Acting Mayor stressed upon the representatives/Wakf management of the holy shrine to strictly adhere to the instructions of the Government/Divisional/District Administration issued for pandemic protocol and follow necessary SOP’s.
The representatives of the holy shrine thanked the Hon’ble Acting Mayor, Srinagar for the visit and also ensured full cooperation with the SMC staff for keeping of cleanliness in the area and within the shrine premises.
