Sopore, March 25: In a bid to ensure fair pricing and quality control, Executive Officer (EO) and Tehsildar Sheikh Tariq conducted an extensive market inspection in Sopore. The inspection aimed to check for violations, including overpricing, hoarding, and the sale of substandard products.
During the drive, Sheikh Tariq interacted with shopkeepers, urging them to adhere to government regulations and maintain transparency in transactions. He also emphasized the importance of hygiene and quality standards, particularly in food-related businesses.
Authorities took strict action against several violators, issuing fines and warnings where necessary. The Tehsildar assured residents that such inspections would continue to protect consumer rights and maintain market discipline.
Local residents appreciated the initiative, calling for regular checks to curb unethical practices. The administration has urged people to report any grievances related to market violations to the concerned authorities.
