Sopore, 08 May: The Sopore-Kupwara national highway in North Kashmir’s Baramulla district is in a dilapidated condition, causing problems for drivers and commuters.
Locals while speaking to media said that we repeatedly requested authorities to intervene and address the issue, but no sufficient steps have been taken so far.
However’ drivers also said that the poor road conditions are damaging their vehicles and increasing the risk of accidents.
They have appealed to higher authorities and the LG administration to look into the matter and take immediate action to address their grievances.
When contacted the AEE R&B department Sopore he acknowledged the grievances and stated that they will start working on the road in the coming days after receiving a forward from the BRO department.
