Sopore, 10 July 2024:
In continuation of its efforts to eradicate the menace of drugs from the society, Sopore Police has arrested one drug peddler and recovered Contraband substances from his possession.
A police party of Police Post Warpora headed by IC PP Warpora PSI Bilal Rashid under the supervision of SDPO Sopore Shri. Sarfaraz Bashir-JKPS, at a checkpoint at Dangerpora-Saidpora Byepass near poultry farm, apprehended one suspected person.
During the search, Police party was able to recover 86 grams of contraband charas like substance from his possession.
On preliminary verification he disclosed his identity as Feroz Ahmad Kaboo S/O Khazir Mohammad Kaboo R/O Kralteng Sopore.
In this regard, case FIR No. 163/2024 under relevant sections of NDPS Act has been registered at Police Station Sopore & investigation has been initiated.
Sopore police urges the common masses to give information regarding narcotics or any other crimes to the nearest police establishment or dial 112.
