Continuing its efforts to eradicate the menace of drugs from the society, Sopore Police have arrested one drug peddler at Wagub Crossing during naka checking by Police Post Putkha, and recovered Psychotropic substances from his possession.
During search, 308 banned capsules were recovered from his possession and the accused was identified as: Danish Rajab Mir S/O Muhammad Rajab Mir R/O Nigeen Bagh Sopore.
Accordingly, Case FIR No. 85/2023 U/S 8/22 of NDPS Act has been registered at Police Station Tarzoo and investigation set into motion.
Community members are requested to come forward with any information regarding drug peddling in their neighbourhood. Persons found indulging in drug peddling will be dealt as per law.
