Srinagar, 7 Nov: Srinagar Police in its offensive against the drug peddlers, Police Post Chhanpora held a notorious drug peddler with banned intoxicant drug Spasmoproxyvon-plus (720 capsules) during patrolling by a Police Party of Police Post Channapora at Natipora chowk.
The accused was roaming around in suspicious conditions at Natipora chowk and on seeing the patrolling party, he tried to run away, however the accused was apprehended tactfully by the police party. During his search 720 capsules of banned intoxicant drug Spasmoproxyvon were recovered and were seized on spot.
The accused was arrested immediately and has been identified as Umar gull @ Boba Dar S/o Gh Mohd R/o Astanpora Natipora Srinagar. In this regard a case FIR No: 264/2020 u/s 8/20 NDPS Act has been registered at PS Sadder and investigation is going on. Srinagar Police is committed to continue its offensive against the drug peddlers.
