Substantial Damage Caused to Residential House in Fire Incident in Srinagar’s Shivpora

Srinagar, May 3: (GNS) A two-story residential house was damaged substantially in a massive fire incident here in the Shivpora area on Monday evening.

Reports reaching news agency Global News Service (GNS) that the fire broke out of the residential house, situated near Shivpora Water Tank, at around 10 PM this evening. The raging flames within no time spread and engulfed a major part of the structure, razing it to ashes.

A Fire and Emergency Services (F&ES) official confirming the incident that the fire has caused major damage to the house. “We have sent five to six fire tenders to the site and it has been primarily known that the fire has stopped though the house getting substantially damaged in the incident”, he said.

“The team is still at the spot and once the details are once known, will be shared accordingly”, the official added. (GNS)

Tractor Driver Dies in Road Mishap in Kupwara Kupwara, May 3: (GNS) A tractor driver has died after the four-wheeler he was on skidded of the road here in Hayan area of the district. Reports reaching Srinagar-based news agency Global News Service (GNS) said that a tractor bearing registration number JK-09A 3302 skidded of the road in Hayan (B) locality. In the incident one Jahangir Ahmad Malik (32) son of Ghulam Nabi Malik, resident of Hayen Trehgam received critical injuries. The injured was immediately evacuated to sub-district hospital Kupwara, however the young person succumbed to his injuries barely few hours into his admission. Confirming the incident, a police official concerned told GNS that a case has been registered in this regard for due investigations. (GNS)
