Nidae KashmirBUDGAM, MAY 09: Budgam Police arrested One timber Smuggler along with illicit timber loaded on a Tata Mobile vehicle without Number Plates.
Acting upon information about timber smuggling, a Naka was established by Police during the intervening night of 08/09 May at Pushkar area of Khag, a police party of PS Khag intercepted one Vehicle Tata Mobile, when police party signalled the vehicle to stop, the driver tried to break the Naka but was stopped tactfully by the Police party.
During the search, 14 logs of Budloo timber were found loaded in it and the Driver of the said Vehicle failed to produce any documents regarding the loaded timber and was subsequently arrested.
The arrested timber smuggler has been identified as:
- Hilal Ahmad Resray Son of Ali Mohd Resray Resident of Hamchipora .
A case FIR number 26/2021 under relevant sections of law stands registered in PS Khag and an investigation was taken up.
