Youth welfare Batagund organizes ‘Tree Plantation' drive

The trial, 27 March: Today Youth welfare along with Go green Batagund Tral organized a plantation drive at its locality in which a number of youth have participated including teachers and students of Government Higher secondary and Gousia institute of education. The drive was equally supported by the department of social forestry, wildlife, and senior citizens. Hundreds of plants were planted at different locations especially at Govt hospital, Edgar of Jamia Masjid, and Government Higher secondary, and drive was also done in its neighboring villages.

In the interaction time with the gathering, on the call of social activist, Dr. Sheikh Arshid Ahmad over the dais, the administrator of sub-district Tral, ADC Shabir Ahmad Raina said that the purpose of the drive is to make the environment free from pollution and quoted inspirational experience in which all the audience in the gathering at Higher secondary Batagund got motivated and instigated to do something about the cleaning of the environment at an individual level. He further said that the vicinity of the schools must be free from any filthy environment that can create a disgusting atmosphere.

On the occasion the great Environmentalist Mr. Nadeem Qadri gave a length talk on plantation drive in which he highlighted the grave concerns of frequent pollution leading reasons in the society. He inspired all the students over there to shoulder the responsibility of cleaning the environment right from home.

In the drive, plants were grown on the number of vacant areas across the village and the drive quoted a beautiful sign that growing trees is the saving of different living creatures and is treated as( Charity) Sadaqah. Imam Bukhari said that the growth of trees is beneficial for others like animals or human beings, and the ecology of the environment can be balanced only when there is luxurious growth of vegetation.

This temperature of the earth is rising at an alarming rate and badly affected the climatic conditions. The world is afraid of climate change. This is the only way by which the climatic and environmental conditions of the ‘old state’ can be restored. The trees are friends of humans and only trees can save us.

In the drive members of youth welfare- Suja Reshi, Mir Aasif, Ishtiyaq Dar, Aadil Rasheed, and Gowhar Mir have shown a great character in awaking the common people about the saving of the life of different creatures. Students present there accepted that the trees are life and with the slogans and posters they tried to encourage the locals to plant more and more trees.

The youth of Batagund as usual involve in such kinds of programs wherein they try to portray the message about the saving of the earth and its different belongings.
