Nidae KashmirANANTNAG, APRIL 05: As part of the ongoing ‘Azadi Ka Amrut Mahotsav’, awareness cum interaction programme about the benefits of centrally sponsored scheme Digital India Land Records Modernization Programme (DILRMP) for farmers was today organized at Sub-Division Awantipora, here.
The programme was presided over by the Director Survey and Land Records South Kashmir, Dr Abdul Hafiz Shah.
At the outset, the Director informed the participants about the objective of DILRMP besides its various components. He highlighted its aspects like scanning of revenue documents, digitization of the Jamabandies and Masavies, survey and resurvey of land besides installation of CORS and cadastral information system among others.
Dr Shah said the digitization of land records will minimize the scope of land disputes by bringing a greater degree of transparency in revenue records.
Besides, Additional Deputy Commissioner Awantipora, Zaffar Hassan Shawl and Tehsildar Awantipora, Altaf Ahmad Dar also highlighted the benefits of the scheme.
