Nidae KashmirAnantnag, 14 April: Continuing its efforts to eradicate the menace of drugs from the society, Police party from Police Station Anantnag along with DO Bus Stand established a Naka near Post Office Anantnag and arrested a bootlegger along with 5 bottles of Illicit liquor and during the investigation, his rental house was raided at Chee and more 40 bottles of Liquor was recovered in presence of Magistrate. The accused has been identified as Mukhtar Ahmad Shah S/O Ghulam Qadir Shah Resident of Lok Bawan Larkipora.
In this connection case, FIR No. 90/2021 under relevant sections of the law has been registered in Police Station Anantnag and investigation took up.
Community members are requested to come forward with any information regarding drug peddlers in their neighborhood. Persons found indulging in drug peddling will be dealt with as per law.
Our consistent actions against drug peddlers should reassure the community members that we are making efforts to keep our society free from the scourge of the drug menace.
