SOPORE, 25 October:- a high-level delegation on today visited Kreeri, Rafiabad, and Sopore constituencies to discuss the critical role of education in shaping the youth of the 21st century. The visit, led by Shri G.M. Sofi besides him social activist Sheikh Muneer Ahmad, brought together respected personalities from various fields. Among the distinguished guests were Shri Bhujang Bobade, Director of the Artificial Intelligence Department in Nagpur, Maharashtra, and author of 23 books; Professor and social activist Shri Anand Tiwari; and Retired SSP Shri Inderjeet Sharma. Each of them expressed their views on the role of youth in addressing global challenges and shaping the future.
In his address, Shri G.M. Sofi highlighted the significance of youth engagement in tackling the pressing issues of the 21st century, such as climate change, technological disruption, and socio-economic inequality. He emphasized that the new generation must leverage modern technology and adopt sustainable practices to drive development. “The youth can lay the foundation for a just future by being proactive in environmental protection and social justice,” Sofi stated. He stressed that education, cooperation, and resilience are key to unlocking the potential of the younger generation in creating a better world.
Shri Bhujang Bobade added to the discussion by drawing attention to India’s rich cultural heritage, exemplified by monuments like the Taj Mahal and Cairo Fort. He noted that the preservation and development of these historic sites offer vast opportunities for tourism, specialized training, and restoration projects, which in turn can boost local economies. “Investment and research in heritage not only enhance the value of historic sites but also open doors to new possibilities,” he said.
Professor Anand Tiwari and Retired SSP Inderjeet Sharma focused on the role of teachers as vital contributors to the educational journey. “Teachers do more than impart knowledge; they shape the character and personality of students,” said Tiwari. He emphasized that teachers inspire students to discover new paths and prepare them for future challenges. Sharma echoed this sentiment, adding that teachers serve as lifelong guides who lead their students toward progress.
The discussion also touched on the concept of nationalism in the modern world. The speakers noted that, while traditionally defined by geographical boundaries, nationalism in today’s globalized society extends beyond borders. With increasing global interactions, trade, and cultural exchanges, nations are bound together in addressing common problems and opportunities. As a result, the notion of nationality has become broader, with countries now playing a vital role in the global community.
The event concluded with a unanimous agreement that the youth of today hold the key to a prosperous and equitable future. By embracing education, innovation, and a global perspective, the new generation can lead the way in creating solutions to the world’s most pressing challenges.
