Sopore, 20 October 2023:Continuing its efforts to eradicate the menace of drugs from the society, Sopore Police have arrested one drug peddler and recovered contraband substances from his possession.
A police party of Police Post Fruit Mandi headed by Incharge PP Fruit Mandi under the supervision of SDPO Sopore and SHO Police Station Sopore, apprehended one drug peddler namely Mehraj ud Din Khan S/O Abdul Hamid Khan R/O Reban Sopore, during patrolling at Reban Nowpora Bridge.
During his personal search checking, charas like substance was recovered from his possession.
Accordingly, a case FIR No. 258/2023 under relevant sections of law stands registered at Police Station Sopore and investigation has been initiated.

People are requested to cooperate in curbing the menace of drugs from the society. We reassure the community members that police will act tough against the criminals as per law.
