Pattan, Oct. 17 : A youth hanged himself to death in north Kashmir’s Pattan village on Tuesday evening.
An official told News Agency that a 19-year-old youth laborer by profession (name withheld), a resident of the Trikolbal area of Pattan, hanged himself at his workplace in Pattan.
The officer said that immediately he was taken to a nearby hospital, where doctors declared him dead on arrival.
A police officer told News Agency that the dead body of the youth has been taken to Sub District Hospital Pattan for medical and legal formalities.
The officer, however, said that a case has been registered and further investigation has been initiated.
