BUDGAM, MAY 03: Continuing its efforts to eradicate the menace of drugs from society, Budgam Police today arrested 02 more notorious drug peddlers and recovered psychotropic substance from their possession.

During Naka checking at Railway bridge Humhama,

02 persons who were moving from railway track towards IG road in suspicious conditions were tactfully apprehended by a police party of Police Post Humhama.

During their search following contraband, substances were recovered from their possession.

25 bottles of codeine-based syrup, 448 capsules of controlled medicine Spasomin-pywon Plus Capsules & 150 tablets of controlled medicine Alprazolam

The arrested duo is identified as:-

Sahil Yousuf Bhat

son of Mohammad Yousuf Bhat and Firdous Ahmad Tantray son of Ghulam Rasool Tantray residents of Humhama.

A case FIR No 110/2021 under relevant sections of NDPS Act was registered in Police Station Budgam and investigation took up.
